Group Practices

Practices are held on the Schuylkill and launch from the Triathlon Beach near the Adaptive Rowing Boathouse on MLK Drive, near the intersection of MLK and Black Road. We hold morning, evening, and weekend practices and these practices are announced on TeamSnap. OC1 Reservations

If you have an Individual of Family membership, have a current waiver on file, and have been certified by a POCC Board member in an OC1, you may reserve one of our club boats for practice on the river. If you would like to be certified to use a club OC1, please contact Jill Denyes at jill@philadelphiaoutrigger.org.

Races

We will participate in several races throughout the season, including the New York Liberty Challenge, the Washington Monumental, the Blackburn Challenge, and our own Hoe Wa’a Challenge, which will be held on August 17-19, 2018, in Brigantine, New Jersey.
Our race committee is committed to both racing competitively and exposing members to the race experience, often sending several crews to each race.
