Waivers
All paddlers — members and guests attending open events — must sign a waiver prior to paddling with POCC. Our e-waiver is available here.
POCC Code of Conduct
- Treat fellow members, guests, and the general community with respect, honesty, fairness, and aloha
- Show respect for self, other members, visitors, competitors, the club family, and other enjoyers of our waterways
- Show respect for the coaches, officers, and board members of the club
- Show respect for the environment — especially our oceans and waterways
- Show respect for the sport and culture of canoe paddling
- Show respect for the club’s equipment and property
- Attend scheduled practices and notify your club representative when not able to participate in practices
- Volunteer for, participate in, and support club activities, events, races, and committees
- Strive to achieve your personal best — both physically and mentally — and joyfully support others in this effort
- Understand that negative behavior while participating in any POCC event is grounds for suspension or expulsion from the club
- Bring all grievances immediately to club representatives; for safety, grievances that occur on the water are resolved on the land
- Keep the best interest of the club and your crew before personal aspirations
- Defer to your steersperson when in a club boat
